Our Story

Between the sky and the sea

The following story began three centuries ago but, for our family, it all began in not too distant 1998. At the time I was 17 years old, two younger siblings Paolo and Luisa, and two extraordinary and, I can now say, forward-thinking parents ( Dad Angelo and Mom Rosaria).
Masseria Limbitello was not part of my adolescent agenda but it entered my daily life with great energy until it quickly and for all intents and purposes became an extension of the family.

Belonging to the genre of fortified masserias Masseria Limbitello owes its name, originating at the time, to its particular location.
Located on the border between the archdiocese of Otranto and the archdiocese of Lecce, not being able to clearly define its belonging to one or the other curia, it was decided to name it Limbitello or small Limbo.
I personally believe that the name is fully representative of the very essence of the stutture.

Stories of stone for a living testimony of work, of authentic passion in a union, magically perfect, between nature and art.

Between the sky and the sea surrounded by greenery in a microclimate that belongs to it Masseria Limbitello is an entity with its own energy, colors, smells and tactile sensations.
Pages of stone for a living testimony of work, of authentic passion in a union, magically perfect, between nature and art.
A purely emotional encounter that remains alive in the hearts of all guests who encounter it and who, very often, feel the need to come and find it again.

Those who have been to our facility more than once, which, for a small part rightfully belongs to them, can for all intents and purposes bear the title of Limbitellian. ” Zeni su en ise sti Limbitello”
